BARBARA VOERG

Barbara is a New Yorker through and through.  Born in the Bronx and spending her early childhood in Brooklyn, the family moved to the Hudson Valley where Barbara has lived, been educated and worked ever since.  Traveling is a passion for Barbara who loves to meet new people, experience new cultures and see the beauty in our world, yet she believes the best part of going away is coming home to the Hudson Valley.  It is her backyard and a place resplendent with jewels just waiting to be discovered by the discerning traveler. 

Barbara spends untold amounts of time exploring and researching the endless back roads, curious villages and exciting activities that fill the Hudson Valley.  She keeps copious notes about restaurants, festivals and little out-of-the-way shops.  She knows not only the obvious, but many of the diamonds in the rough – those places that are indigenous to the Valley and give a true flavor of who her people are and what it means to be part of the Valley.  It’s an ongoing quest to find the unusual. This is what she can pass along to you so that your visit is as meaningful as possible.
